Spq13 Austin

This past week we buttoned up the transmission on the dump truck. Did a lot of wiring and hydraulic hose making. Have been changing tires and rims a lot and also doing some troubleshooting on noise in the truck. They thought the turbo was going out but after taking the truck for a drive I rigged up up a fin on the windshield and it was a flap of trim that was whistling on and off. Adjusted all the trucks brakes and clutches.

Spq13 Austin

This past week we didn't do much because the cold weather and nobody was driving. We did some brakes, I changed an air dryer, replaced a clutch, mounted all the parts from the old tranny to the new, and a few more things. Learned how to take apart an air dryer and a clutch. There is a lot more to a clutch than I thought.

I've been doing a lot of misc. jobs and working on blocks that the drivers have put the extra concrete in. Ran the loader and drove truck for a few days and learned how to use a dual control loader control.

Spq13 Austin

This past week we worked on the tranny we pulled out and did a bunch of wiring and hydrolic work. It seems like I'm the brake guy cause I've done close to 20 just this week. We replaced the lines on the cement trucks, lots of loader work and got to operate the loader a little bit. It is a good place to work and great guys. Got lots if experience and feel like I'm learning a lot. I also worked on my truck getting my exhaust manifold off to weld the exhaust temperate fitting in. Figured out that they put the stupidest hanger brackets on the exhaust manifold that makes a 1 hour job into a 2 hour job.
