Well its the last week to blog right?

This week ive been doing services and and working on the 500 loader. There has been an error code popping up and finally tracked down the problem. There was sediment at the bottom of the tank and clogging the fuel filter. It would be at half power then the code would blink. Thats when i knew it was fuel related. Now i got to drop the tank and clean the tank.
Got to learn how much a pain it is to change belts on those. You have to take off most of the engine panels to even get close. After a couple hours it was all done.

Past week it was wet! Been running the loader everyday all day. Did and oil change and service. Super fun forgetting soaked isn't lighting. I can't log into anything from school or email so if you are trying to reach me I'm sorry.

I've had some difficulty with co-workers but after not taking any of their craps I am getting more respect. I wish I would have done it sooner.

Did a recent air dryer rebuild and did some leak repairing a servo and PTO.

This week I have been been taking my cylinder apart and am almost done with measurements. All I have to do is assemble it back together and adjust valves. By tomorrow it should be getting back together. I've done the horn, windshield wiper, and the injector balance test, and the ford ids. I'll do six probably tomorrow.

This week I have been working on my tranny in my truck. Did some research on why it wasn't shifting from 2nd to 3rd. Its the valve body that tells the computer to shift the transmission.

When I was going over the pass my turbo seemed like it wasn't responding and super high boost but felt gutless. I'm going to to have to do research on what's going on.

I learned this week about how a valve body on a transmission works and it helped me understand the concept of a tranny just a bit more. I am very interested in learning more.

This past week we finished the engine and it was fun but I am glad it is done. Now onto the 3516 engine tomorrow. It was a great learning experience on how to find and assemble different parts of the engine I wasn't familiar with.

This past week I have been waiting for the tranny parts to arrive so it can be installed on my truck. Today we got the tranny on the jack and going to be installing it tomorrow. Learning from Bill of the different parts and functions of a tranny. Today I learned about the actual definition and gave me a visual of a torque converter and the benefits from a single to a triple.

We went to Kenwoth and got another great tour.
It's crazy how detailed and clean it is. I never noticed how big the oil trucks they make are.
Its just amazing to me and the different places they are shipped and how many trucks each plant makes a day.

This past week I signed up for Alcoa foundation. It will be nice to work with some new people and help me pay for tools with their help.

This past week Travis and I have been measuring all the measurements needed for our Mercedes diesel engine. I have looked at the book for a long time. I found out the correct measurements and was amazed how far off they were. We finished the engine worksheet and Travis will post the paper on his blog.

I took my tranny out of my truck and am rebuilding it. I did the testing on the temperature sensor on the board.

Hours this week: 31

I guess I didn't post the pictures from the worksheet from last week so here they are.
