Week 5
This past week we learned how do the simulator and learned how to work the hydrolics and removed the ring gear on the flywheel. I didnt know how run the hydrolics on the test bench but after reading and doing trial and error I figured it out. For work we built a new fence and when doing so the lady had problems with her car and figured out she was low on oil.
Week 3
This week finished our electrical part of the class and did the x drive electical tests and I scored an 87 on them and one 90. It was very time consuming but learned alot.
On Saturday I went to the tractor meet in Mount Vernon to check out different areas that a person in diesel can go into. It was pretty nice and even got a belt buckle in a drawing.
We also learned in class about relay and showed how you can monitor problems on a big screen. It was very fun and interesting.
Week: 24
This week we worked on the boards and trouble shooted the horn and the light units. Throughout the week we traced wires, read wiring diagrams, searched for parts and problens and diagnosed the problems. I learned what a simple highlighter can do to help find an issue and also learn where fuses and wires should be. I also took my air filter of my truck and looked at the inside of my turbo and do a check to make sure everything is working properly.
