This past week we did some testing on an Allison tranny and a differential. I learned how everything worked in a tranny. I thought it was super cool how simple it is or atleast I think haha. Lining up an intern soon so hopefully it will work out.

This past week I was in Hawaii but was able to do some wiring in my truck. Also did a trouble shoot on my boat tracing flickering lights which was a bad ground as I suspected. Went and talked to Stanwood redi mix and they said I am going to talk the bosses so hopefully I get the internship. When I was troubleshooting wiring in my truck on my horns I found the wire came out of the back of the pressure switch... I felt very stupid haha guess its easier than I thought haha did some aligning today in class but got pushed to work. Will finish tomorrow.

The air solenoid lets air in and out. Testing them is the clicking noise making sure they release. The ABS solenoid is testing making sure its working and if it's not then it pushes up diverting the air flow to the exhaust.

This week we did air brake line connections and fittings. You did a demonstration on removing tie rod ends and explained how to install. Learning how to remove them is something I learned and the steps need to take to take out and assemble the tie rod ends like cleaning the tube with the thread cleaner. We did trouble shooting on the air comin out of the exhaust port on the valve on the Kenworth. Found it to be the brake can getting air bypast.

This was a very productive week. When I was home after school I did troubleshooting on my boat lights and truck. We did a lot of troubleshooting to practice for our test. I learned quite a bit from fuse layout to diagnosing a simple solution that right in your face haha. We did air brake assembly with jesse and hr had me show people how to take off brakes and shiwed brittany how to do a hub seal and tomorrow how to do bearings and race removal or tell her how. Got to teach my classmates ways to put springs for brakes on easier by prying down with the vise grip. When doing my test i learned I need to relax and not have my mind go blank, that would be nice. I need to do some research with the fluke and get one too!

This past week we it was a learning week for sure. It was nice to learn on how to do proper testing on starters, batterys, altinators and charging systems from cars to semi's. I learned about what the point of having two batterys in a truck is for and what purpose it serves, there hasnt been a lot of time to do testing since i don't have a multi meter. This week I applied at a few places for interning and did that pre test that got put out. We also found the route for the peter and international. This weekend i helped my neighbors do seals, bearings, races and brakes.

This week and weekend i worked on running wires for my led light rings, led strip, train horn, compressor and put a lot of hours in. It was fun and learned alot and when doing everything i did i always remebered what my dad told me "power in, power out". With all the times watching him through my life I learned alot from what size fuses and wire size. This week i learned the concept of a load and crimping grounds and loads to work in one.

Ive been trying to email about problems about logging in.
These past couple weeks Ive worked on 32 trucks. Oil change, brakes, drums, broken beds, welded, learned how to overhaul an entire engine from block up. Lots of things to remember haha.
Ive also worked the new cummins isx.
I installed an exhaust on my pickup.
I already have over 350 hours and they said since its slow im done until next internship.
A big part i learned was from not a mechanic but an employee. He said everything is simple once I have a general idea. It helped me relax and not so confused. I may have a future at Kenworth because getting to know the guys up in Marysville and saying my knowledge and schooling im taking. This internship has really taught me alot on every part from dealing with rude people and taking notes to even the type of clothes when pressure washing! Haha
Im ready to come back and learn more!

Finally got access. These few weeks I have done so many hub seals, wiring, driving truck, replacing brake cans, trouble shooting, replacing hoses, dealing with those perfect drivers ;), brakes, drums, and a lot more. It has been hard dealing with people that are rude and no patients but im showing my abilities and trying my hardest. I learned the different types of brakes there are and the reason for each. Also did over 20 services on trucks and eqipment.
